Did you know that approximately 11,000 homes in the Greater Victoria area have a hoarding problem? Clutter, garbage, mold, and poor sanitation are possible conditions in hoarding situations. Health and helping professionals need to be aware of their risk of exposure to these hazards. A panel of professionals will provide an in-depth look into the diagnosis, causes and different types of hoarding; how to detect fire and waste hazards and their implications; how to mitigate low or imminent risks; and community resources and support available for hoarding situations.
Note: Course withdrawal must occur at least 48 hours prior to course commencement to receive a refund less a $25 administration fee.
