Health or Hype? The Science of Nutritional Trends and (Fad) Diets
This course will explore several popular diet types and nutrition trends often referenced in the media, like the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. The key facets, foods and macronutrient breakdown will be presented along with the barriers and potential nutrient deficiencies that could result. Current research and scientific evidence on these various diets will be explored as well as the target population that is predominantly affected. Finally, key takeaway messages will be presented to guide participants’ food decisions.
Course withdrawal must occur at least 48 hours prior to course commencement to receive a refund less a $25 administrative fee.
