“UVic was the best place to study English. In my two months at the ELC, teachers and Cultural Assistants led us to speak English only and it really helped me to improve my speaking ability. Every day in class we had many questions to discuss with each other. After class, there were many activities we could choose. In these activities, we could play different new sports, go to the beach, dance, etc. At the end of the program, we had a special and wonderful culture night!”

What's it like living in Victoria?

Victoria is a beautiful and friendly city. On Canada Day, there were many celebrations in front of the Parliament Building and around the Inner Harbor. If I had free time, I often went to Beacon Hill Park to enjoy free concerts. Besides, The Inner Harbor was also a good place to go. The beautiful scenery changed every moment. There are too many things to tell you how wonderful it was to live in Victoria. If you go to Victoria once, you will know how great it was!

Best advice for new students

Don’t worry about how bad your English is, just care about how many times you speak English. Enjoy your life and learning at the ELC. You will love it!
