Course description

The 60s was a decade of cultural and societal revolution, changes that have reverberated to the present day, and the soundtrack of that decade was the seed containing so much of the music that followed. Was it just because the largest demographic, the Baby Boomers, lived it and loved it or was it truly great music? We will go back and take a closer look at the different genres that dominated the music of the 60s and make our own determinations. We’ll ask the question “Does art in the form of music change society or does it merely reflect the times?”
