Surrealism: Ideas, Methods and Techniques
Focusing on one of the most influential and provocative art movements of the 20th Century, this course introduces many of the ways the Surrealists tapped into the unconscious mind to liberate and express imagery that still continues to inspire.
Weekly we will examine different Surrealists, their methodology and art processes that include: automatic drawing, collage, frottage, grattage, cubomania and many other techniques that will push your own art practice into uncharted waters. You will need to purchase a small amount of art supplies for this class.
A full course refund will only be provided if you withdraw from a course prior to the course start date. For courses with more than one class, a refund, less a minimum $15 administrative fee may be issued if you withdraw prior to the second class. Depending on your method of payment, a refund will be either mailed to you or credited to your credit card.
