Course description

Through three hands-on mapping projects, participants will learn hand sewing, embroidery, how to use dissolvable fabric and techniques for mapping through removal. The maps will begin with each person’s own life and will be inspired by contemporary textile art and how mapping is used in society and in art. At the end of this course, participants will leave with textile art skills they can use for further art and mapping projects, and they will have completed three samplers. A supply list will be attached to your receipt.
