COURSE
Course description
Why is a symphony in four movements and a concerto in three? How did the piano evolve and orchestras become so large? In this course, you'll learn how musical forms, instrumentation and styles evolved. From the comfort of home, you will be guided through a selection of video recordings of symphonies, concertos and choral works ranging over a two-century period from Haydn to Mahler.
