Exploring Colour: Level II
COURSE
Course description
In this course, we will continue building on our experience working with colours. We will look at three historical and modern artists' use of colour as subject matter for our discussion and analysis of their artwork.
Through comparisons and exercises we will develop a more differentiated perception necessary for expressing our own intentions and explore new ways to create intensity. By experimenting with colours, we will identify how a picture comes “alive“. With structured exercises, we will deepen our knowledge about different colour techniques.
Course activities include: short presentations, discussions, experimenting and working with colours.
Some basic supplies are included in the cost of the course, however, please bring something to work on (paper, cardboard, canvas, wood) and, if you wish, whatever sources of colour you have used before.
Please note this course is limited to 10 students.
