Course description
This introductory studio course will cover the basics of how to use an analogue camera, including camera mechanics, exposure triangle and the in-camera light meter. We’ll discuss the history of photography up to current art practice, and we’ll study contemporary art photographers’ work, contemporary art themes and formats, and how to plan a photo shoot. You will be encouraged to create an art piece after planning your photo shoot. Possible themes include: motion or composite portrait, or photomontage.
You will be required to provide your own analogue camera for this course.
